Hailing from Manchester, England, Slaughter & The Dogs exploded on to the British music scene at the now legendary Manchester Free Trade Hall gig with The Sex Pistols, which changed musical history for ever.

Slaughter & the Dog’s first indie single “Cranked Up Really High” was produced by the legendary Martin Hannett (Joy Division, New Order, Happy Mondays) and SATD’s first studio album “Do it Dog Style” featured Mick Rossi’s friend, mentor and long time hero Mick Ronson, playing on 2 tracks.

SATD were the first band in Manchester to release an independent single namely “Cranked Up Really High”. Q Magazine voted this landmark release as one of the top 50 Punk Singles of all time.

Slaughter & the Dogs’s albums “Do it Dog Style” and “Bite Back” are now hailed as classics. “Bite Back” was produced by Dale Griffin (Mott the Hoople) and featured the renowned Morgan Fisher on Keyboards (Mott, Queen).

SATD went onto to record over 6 studio albums, 6 live albums, successfully touring the world many times over.

One of the founding forefathers of the British Punk Rock movement, Slaughter & The Dogs remain to this day a force to be reckoned with.

Their live shows are legendary and incendiary and they continue to tour and headline major festivals around the world.

They are true Punk Rock Legends.

The bands influences can be felt near and far, from Local Manchester boys – The Stone Roses, Johnny Marr and Oasis to name but three, to the American super group Green Day.

Oasis have been known to come onstage to Slaughter & The Dog’s song “Where Have All The Boot Boys Gone”. An honor indeed!

Vive Le Rock described SATD’s last studio album “Vicious” as a career defining album” … and who could argue with that!

SATD is returning to the studio to record a new album with 12 original songs produced by founding member Mick Rossi.

SATD’s original line up – Mick Rossi, Howard Bates, Brian Grantham aka Mad Muffet look forward to touring once again and playing Festivals and club dates around the world.

For the first time in over 2 decades the Original line up of Slaughter & the Dogs are excited to once more take to the open road, bringing the best of their catalogue to their loyal fans including the debut of their new album slated for early 2025. These are exciting times.

SATD original line up is once again returning to Blackpool, England to headline the mighty Rebellion Festival in 2025.
